Compression
When I was a young boy, I became fascinated by data, bits, and bytes.
Probably triggered by the magical unreadability of code and data that appeared in the Commodore 64 monitor (a tool for disassembling machine code) and depackers that displayed all sorts of cryptic symbols on the screen during depacking. This often turned out to be the depack code because there was simply no free memory elsewhere.
Since then, I’ve gained a lot of knowledge about compression, by implementing it (octettenpletter) and talking about it (talk).
